Some woke up at 2:30 am to see the sunrise from the top of Haleakala.

at 10,023 feet, we were even above the airplanes

We had a fabulous time lounging by the pool, shopping, and eating Hula Pie.

It was a wonderful trip! We learned sooooooo much!!!!   We only lost 2 phones this year, had 2 pretty bad “lava snake” bites (bad juju with the Wood twins), and 3 earthquakes. Thank you, students, for behaving so magnificently and studying so hard.  Thank you, parents, for trusting the care and well-being of your kids to me. I was so proud of them.  We all made new friends and said good bye to some old ones.  Mr. Makurat (from Brown County) has taken 19 trips to Hawaii and Kumu Monica has been teaching the class over 15 years.  They will be missed.
